Fixed Braces

Fixed braces consist of small brackets that are attached to the front surface of each tooth with special dental adhesive. The brackets are connected by a wire that runs through them, which is held in place with small elastic bands or ties. Fixed braces are also commonly known as traditional braces. The braces are made up of small brackets that are attached to the teeth with dental adhesive. A wire is then threaded through the brackets and is held in place with elastic or metal ties. The wire is adjusted periodically to apply gentle pressure to the teeth to gradually shift them into the correct position.

Fixed braces can be used to treat a wide range of orthodontic issues such as crooked teeth, gaps between teeth, overcrowding, overbite, underbite, and other misalignments.

The treatment time for fixed braces varies from person to person and depends on the severity of the issue being treated. Typically, treatment can take anywhere from 6 months to 3,4 years to complete.

Fixed braces require regular dental appointments to adjust the wires and monitor progress. It is also important to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing regularly and avoiding hard and sticky foods that can damage the braces.

While fixed braces may not be the most aesthetically pleasing option, they are cost-effective and have been proven to provide effective orthodontic treatment for many people.
